    Medical Director, Ambulatory Improvement – Massachusetts General Hospital

    WittKieffer has partnered with Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) to identify a seasoned physician to serve as its Medical Director, Ambulatory Improvement. Working under the broad direction of the Senior Vice President, Ambulatory Care and Patient Experience, the Medical Director is a key member of the Ambulatory leadership team and decision-making structure. He/She will provide the highest level of overall medical leadership of all aspects of the Ambulatory service to the organization.

    The Medical Director is responsible for clinical leadership of the MGH Ambulatory Enterprise, coordinating efforts to improve access, efficiency, quality, and value while overseeing clinical operations, regulatory compliance of professional and support staff to ensure planning and provision of patient care within their physician organization, one of the largest multi-specialty medical groups in the country. This role engages in effective collaborations across the hospital as well as Mass Gen Brigham (MGB) to develop and promote the strategic direction of the MGH ambulatory enterprise.

    This position reports directly to the Senior Vice President, Ambulatory Care and Patient Experience. The Medical Director will work collaboratively with a large team of project managers, nurses, data managers and analysts. He/She will be responsible for clinical leadership of the MGH Ambulatory Enterprise, coordinating efforts to improve access, efficiency, quality and value.

    The successful Medical Director will have a passion for excellence, be well respected amongst his/her colleagues, possess superior interpersonal and communication skills, an ability to collaborate within all levels of a complex organization and have a high level understanding of trends and needs within the ambulatory practice environment.
