    Chief Medical Information Officer – Peninsula Regional Medical Center

    Peninsula Regional Medical Center is currently seeking a Chief Medical Information Officer.   The Chief Medical Information Officer at Peninsula Regional Medical Center is responsible for guiding the development, adoption and optimization of clinical information systems that assist clinicians in the delivery and continuous improvement of patient care and for the initiation and on-going development of physician engagement in a multi-disciplinary, comprehensive quality/performance improvement program.

    Participates as a member of the IT Governance Committee in representing the needs and requirements of the physician community and serves as an advocate of management in promoting the use of information technology in the clinical setting. Works in partnership with Information Services implementation and support teams to translate clinician requirements into specifications for the development and deployment of new clinical informatics capabilities.

    The ideal candidate will have a track record of documented success in the implementation and optimization of EHR systems. The candidate must have extensive knowledge and real world applications of informatics and data analytics expertise. All applicants must have an M.D. or D.O., five years of clinical practice experience, and three to five years of progressive experience in clinical informatics with the Epic EHR system, including work as a CMIO or similar position. Board Certified in Clinical Informatics is desirable, but not required.
