• CMIO – eClinicalWorks

    WittKieffer has been retained to conduct the search for eClinicalWorks’ (eCW) Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO).  Leading a team, the CMIO is instrumental in supporting enterprise strategies to achieve the highest outcomes in patient safety, quality of care, operational performance, research and education across the eCW customer continuum for this privately held leader in healthcare IT solutions.


    The CMIO will ensure a continued focus on patient safety and clinical risk and will champion software quality and medical initiatives at eCW.  The successful candidate will have extensive healthcare industry experience managing patient safety, quality and clinical risk and a thorough understanding of EHRs.  The CMIO will be an experienced informaticist who will be adept at championing the EHR to the clinical community and also capable of contributing more broadly in the field of clinical informatics.


    The CMIO is an executive-level position at eCW.  Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, this position will play a key role in making sure eCW continues to deliver and maintain safe and high-quality healthcare IT products to its customers.  The CMIO is the physician leader for clinical information technology across eCW.  The CMIO will also serve as the key clinical subject matter expert and will help develop clinical informatics and decision support within the electronic medical record.


    The ideal candidate will be persuasive, leading with a strong voice to advocate for patient safety throughout the organization.  The CMIO will have strong verbal and written communication skills and be capable of conveying critical issues.  Also, the CMIO must be able to hold others accountable, be detail-oriented and self-motivated.  Board certified Doctorate of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine is required.
