WittKieffer has been retained to conduct the search for the Chief Health Informatics Officer (CHIO) at The Queen’s Health Systems (QHS). The Health System is Hawaii’s oldest and most prominent family of hospitals and healthcare companies, providing preventive and specialty healthcare services in over 70 locations throughout the Pacific. It is the State’s largest employer, with over 7,200 employees and over 1,700 physicians networked across the Islands. The flagship hospital is Magnet accredited.
Reporting to the Queen’s Health Systems Senior Vice President and President of The Queen’s Medical Group (QMG). The CHIO will collaborate closely with the Chief Physician Executive, Vice President & Chief Information Officer, Chief Medical Officer for the Accountable Care Organization and others to align the informatics strategy with clinical and business goals. The CHIO leads the informatics team and telehealth teams, who will also report to the VP, CIO. The CHIO has a budget.
The CHIO, will make a significant impact on the health system and the community they serve. This role is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned informatics leader to take on a high-level leadership role within a well-established health care system. The successful candidate must have an M.D. or D.O. with a robust background of recent clinical practice.
