• Product Strategist – Healthcare Innovations

    The Hearst Health Innovation Lab (HHIL) combines the excitement and agility found in a groundbreaking startup with the resources and support of one of the nation’s largest private media companies.   It consists of analysts, developers, technologists, and strategists who support a diverse set of clinical information technology projects developed internally, as well as the incubation of ideas and products in collaboration with outside clinician entrepreneurs. The work is fast-paced, cutting edge, and tremendous fun.  We follow lean startup methodologies as we rapidly prototype new product concepts and iterate based on early market feedback.  We are looking for candidates who share our passion for using innovative approaches to pioneer markets, technologies, products, and methods that improve and interconnect a person’s healthcare journey.

    We are seeking a creative and energetic individual to work with clinical and business teams to generate and evaluate innovative digital health product concepts and help connect the innovation lab with potential partners and customers for the Lab’s suite of technology and/or content-enabled solutions.  This key position will facilitate the creation of business proposals for a diverse range of Innovation Lab projects, with a strong focus on addressable markets and customer needs. The ideal candidate will display a deep understanding and relentless focus on the needs and problems of potential customers, including clinicians (physicians, referring physicians, nurses, and pharmacists), provider organizations, payers, and other stakeholders.

    Position requires a licensed Medical Physician, 5+ years’ work experience in either innovation, product development, process redesign, clinical transformation, or consulting; Deep healthcare industry background, with a large professional network; Experience and understanding of workflow in a care delivery or payor role; Experience assessing and valuing unmet medical needs and potential business opportunities in a commercial setting; Expertise in marketing strategy and business case development;
